Michael has been providing financial advice to Clients since 1988. He is a Director of the Licensee (Guardian Associates) and also of Guardian Investments Pty Ltd. He specialises in advising in the following areas:

• Personal and Corporate Risk Management
• Retirement Planning

Michael holds a Commerce Degree, majoring in Accounting. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and holds a “Specialist in Financial Planning” designation. Michael also holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is an Associate of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.

Jason joined Guardian in 2002 with a background in small business. He commenced providing advice soon after and is a Director of both the Licensee (Guardian Associates) and a Director of Guardian Investments Pty Ltd.

Jason has a special interest in meeting the needs of High Net Worth and Sophisticated Investor clients. He provides advice to clients in the following disciplines:

• Portfolio Management including Direct Equities and Bonds
• Retirement Planning
• Personal Superannuation
• Self-managed Superannuation Funds
• Estate Planning

Jason holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner® designation.

David joined Guardian in 2013 from Morgans Financial where he worked as an Equity Adviser for three years. He has over 35 years experience in the investment industry and worked in South Africa as a qualified Stockbroker from 1983 to 2009, including roles as a Senior Sales Trader and Head of Trading at a major South African Bank before emigrating to Australia 13 years ago. David specialises in the following disciplines:

• Investment including equities, managed funds, interest-bearing products and property
• Superannuation
• Retirement Planning
• Self-managed Superannuation Funds

David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounts and Auditing) and a Diploma in Financial Planning and Stockbroking.

Laura joined Guardian in May 2021 and has been an Adviser since 2014. She holds both a Masters of Financial Planning and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, has completed the Fellow Chartered Financial Practitioner designation and is an Accredited Aged Care Specialist. Her Financial Adviser Number issued by ASIC is 000459457.

Mel joined Guardian in Oct 2017 and has over 22 years financial services industry experience. She has worked at Morgans Financial, St George Bank & QIC. Mel has a wealth of knowledge in many technical and administrative aspects of the finance sector and is committed to operational efficiency and high-quality client service.
